HOME SERVICES What It Is Scenarios Price List How It Works Initial Registration To join The Memory Deposit, users must register on the system giving some personal details and will enter security questions that will be used to positively confirm their identity and in so doing ensure the security of their data. They will also have the opportunity to enter next of kin details. The user must select the desired storage capacity for photographs and scanned documents (between 100 and 300MB). Once all of the registration details have been entered the user makes payment via credit/debit card, upon completion a message will notify you of the successful transaction. An email will be sent to the email address provided with the customers unique User Name and Password. Once received the User can log on to the members area and start to use the Memory Deposit. Note the user may also request registration using personal cheque or money order as payment method. Members Area (Recovery Data) It is important to note that the recovery data does not use any of your storage allocation and does not have a limit on the amount of information stored. Once logged on the user selects the link to the type of information to be entered i.e. insurance details. Once an area has been selected the user enters the details for one policy or item at a time and selects the submit button. To enter further policy or other items of information this process is followed each time submitting one item at a time. The Members area can be visited as frequently as the user wishes to submit information. All disaster recovery information is stored securely, it cannot be viewed over the internet and can only be viewed by our operators once you have answered the security questions over the telephone, full details are available within our privacy policy. It is entirely the user’s choice as to what information and how little or how much they choose to store on the system (subject to the restrictions laid out in the “terms and conditions of use”). It is vital, and it is the user’s responsibility to check carefully the accuracy of the data prior to submission to the system. Storage Area The main storage is accessed via the members area (recovery data) following the link to the storage area the user emails the memory deposit with attached files for secure storage. It is important to note that main storage items are automatically stored in duplicate in separate areas not accessed by the internet or our operatives. As with the recovery data it is the users choice as to what they save with the same restrictions as above. A number of suggestions as to items to store can be found on our suggestions page. Messages confirming receipt, storage size used and space remaining will be sent to the user on a regular basis. Retrieving Data When the user needs to make a claim following an incident they contact the memory deposit by telephone and go through the identity confirmation process. The operator will then provide the user with any of the recovery data the user needs. The nature and seriousness of the incident may well effect what information the user requires at that time. The operator will also offer the user the option of a broadcast e-mail to their emergency contact list on their behalf and if required take and read back the users dictated message for those contacts. The operator will also check with the user as to what they wish done with the main storage data. A copy can be dispatched immediately if required or later at such time as the user wishes.
